Community Support

Our Commitment to the Community

CIRI has a strong commitment to being a responsible corporate citizen and a good neighbor. CIRI's network of non-profit organizations supports efforts that improve the lives of many, including CIRI shareholders, Alaska Natives and Native Americans, and the community at large.

Community Involvement

CIRI is a major supporter of various charitable organizations and a participant of fundraising events. CIRI and its non-profit affiliate employees are encouraged to become involved in the community—from serving food at Bean’s Café, a soup kitchen for the homeless and hungry, to serving on non-profit boards like United Way or Alaska Children’s Trust. Employees are recognized for their civic and philanthropic efforts.

In 2000, CIRI was awarded a Gold Pan Award for distinguished community service by the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce. In 1997 the Alaska Chapter of the National Society of Fundraising Executives named CIRI the Outstanding Business in Philanthropy.

Corporate Giving

CIRI believes in helping to build a strong community and state through its participation and support. CIRI's success is linked to the health of our community, and we recognize we must do our part to help organizations that meet the growing needs of society.
