PENNY L. CARTY
Assistant treasurer
Penny L. Carty has 21 years of experience with Salamatof Native Association as an employee and Board member, and is currently its president and chief executive officer. She graduated from the Peterson School of Business in 1968 in Seattle, Wash.
Carty, an Aleut, has 15 years of experience with CIRI's non-profits, including serving as a director and vice chair of Cook Inlet Tribal Council and a member of Cook Inlet Tribal Council's Executive Committee, Building Committee, and Compensation Committee.
Carty's experience also includes service as a director and assistant secretary/treasurer of The CIRI Foundation, member of The CIRI Foundation Executive Committee and Education Awards Committee, and secretary/treasurer of Cook Inlet Housing Authority's Board of Commissioners, among others. Carty was elected to the CIRI Board of Directors in 2005; her three-year term concludes in 2011.
