Alaska Interstate Construction LLC is one of Alaska's top construction, oilfield and mining contractors. AIC is jointly owned by CIRI and Nabors Industries Ltd., the largest land-based oil drilling company in the world.

Recent Alaska projects include the Pogo Gold Mine near Delta Junction, Kensington Gold Mine north of Juneau, numerous projects on the North Slope oilfields, road realignment and bridge construction at Hick's Creek, site construction of the Anderson Septage Facility for the Denali Borough, and residential development in Anchorage's Government Hill neighborhood. AIC has expanded internationally in recent years, executing projects in Russia and Kazakhstan.

Peak Oilfield Service Co. provides a wide range of equipment, maintenance, support and construction services to oil, gas and chemical projects on Alaska's North Slope, along the Kenai Peninsula and in Anchorage and Valdez. Jointly owned by CIRI and Nabors, Peak has become an industry leader in oil and gas exploration support, heavy hauling, logistics and workplace safety.

Peak is aggressively pursuing new business opportunities. In Alaska, Peak anticipates playing a key role in CIRI's plans to boost oil and gas exploration on its lands around Cook Inlet. Peak will continue to support oil and gas exploration on Alaska's North Slope, and looks forward to helping build Alaska's natural gas pipeline, should that occur. Today's dynamic world energy markets create new opportunities for Peak to bring its expertise to new arenas, domestic and international.

CIRI Alaska Tourism Corp., CIRI's wholly owned Alaska tourism subsidiary, owns and operates several of the state's leading marine day cruise companies and lodges. CATC packages and sells tours to fit a variety of lifestyle and budgets through its package tour and booking company, Alaska Heritage Tours. CATC owns three lodges:

  • Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge. Located south of Denali National Park and designed to attract travelers seeking soft-adventure activities, the lodge features 212 rooms.
  • Seward Windsong Lodge. Located in a scenic river valley near Seward and Exit Glacier, the lodge features 180 rooms.
  • Kenai Fjords Wilderness Lodge. Located on Fox Island in the heart of Resurrection Bay, the lodge can accommodate 300 lunch guests from sightseeing cruises and has 8 cabins capable of hosting 22 people overnight.

CATC owns three wildlife and glacier cruise companies:

  • Kenai Fjords Tours. Operates daily sightseeing tours in wildlife-rich Kenai Fjords National Park.
  • Prince William Sound Glacier Cruises. Operates daily sightseeing tours in Alaska's western Prince William Sound.
  • Mariah Tours. Operates specialized, small-ship day cruises in Kenai Fjords National Park.

ANC Research & Development LLC is a wholly owned subsidiary of CIRI providing space and missile defense initiatives support, engineering, technical assistance, information technology, program/project management, research development, training and heavy civil construction.

ANC R&D is 8(a) U.S. Small Business Administration-certified. It is also holds a Disadvantaged Business Entity certification and is a Minority Business Enterprise. ANC R&D recently completed a $3.2 million competitive contract to replace a Washington state bridge for the U.S. Department of Transportation.

 

REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT

CIRI Land Development Corp. is CIRI's wholly owned real estate development company. CLDC's current projects include the development of Tikahtnu Commons, a 95-acre regional shopping and entertainment center on CIRI property in northeast Anchorage; mixed-use projects that include office, retail and residential elements in the San Antonio area; and an office complex on a 9-acre parcel of CIRI land in San Diego.

CIRI owns more than 600,000 acres in Alaska, the lower 48 states and Hawaii. CLDC will continue to build a diverse real estate portfolio and take advantage of market conditions to pursue further real estate development opportunities.

CIRI acquired a majority interest in Pacific Tower Properties Inc. in February 2008. PTP is an Alaska firm located in Anchorage that offers commercial property management and real estate brokerage services. PTP's services complement CIRI's existing real estate initiatives.

PTP is one of Alaska's largest commercial real estate companies, offering professional brokerage services for buyers and sellers, valuation analysis, development consulting, property tax appeal and consulting services. Its wholly owned subsidiary, PTP Management Inc., manages approximately 3.5 million square feet of commercial space in Alaska.
