KEITH SANDERS

Senior Vice President, Land and Legal Affairs

Keith Sanders oversees CIRI's ANCSA land and natural resource development, its government contracting division, and its legal and regulatory affairs. Sanders earned a bachelor's degree in legal studies from the University of California Berkeley in 1984, and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of California Hastings College of the Law in 1987. Before coming to CIRI in 1995, Sanders worked at BP Exploration (Alaska) Inc. as In-House Counsel for two years. He worked as Assistant Bar Counsel at the Alaska Bar Association from 1991 to 1993, and as an Associate Attorney at Bogle & Gates in 1990. Prior to these positions, Sanders clerked for both the Alaska Supreme Court and the California Supreme Court.

Sanders currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Resource Development Council and the Board of Directors of the Eagle River Nature Center. He has served on the Alaska Bar Association's Law Examiners and Discipline Hearing Committees, as well as various other boards and committees.
