Tax Manager
This position is responsible for federal and state (multiple) corporate income and miscellaneous tax compliance, as well as accounting and financial analysis as assigned for CIRI’s overall accounting and reporting requirements. An undergraduate degree in accounting and four years accounting experience are required and corporate income tax compliance experience is preferred.

CIRI is accepting resumes for the following 2003 summer hire/internship positions:

Accounts Payable Clerk

This position is responsible for filing and data entry with emphasis on accounts payable. Must have general accounting experience, with accounts payable experience preferred.

Transfer Coordinator & Accounts
Receivable Clerk

This position is responsible for performing daily data transfer of reservation information between the reservation and hotel management systems. In addition, the position is responsible for processing accounts receivable and assisting with general accounting duties. Must have two years of college including principles of accounting, or three years of experience in a high volume work setting requiring substantial attention to detail.

Community Relations Intern

This position provides general clerical and special project support to the community relations specialist. Duties include helping to coordinate the CIRI golf tournament, processing donation requests, coordinating participation in community and special events, keeping community relations notebook and calendar up to date, and conducting research. Preference will be given to students enrolled in post-secondary education programs.

Groundskeeper
This position provides maintenance of grounds and interior and exterior common areas of CIRI-owned properties. Must have clean, presentable appearance and be able to regularly lift 50 pounds.

GIS Intern

This position is responsible for various data entry into GIS shapefiles and databases; map production; inventory, retrieval and transmittal of new and stored data; data location and project organization; and other duties as assigned. Must have high school diploma or GED and previous experience or education in GIS, geography, geomatics or related field.

Southcentral Foundation Announces Two Employment Opportunities

Manager of Grant Development and Administration
This position is responsible for working with divisional management to develop and implement strategies for the acquisition and maintenance of funds to support current and future programs; to prepare and submit proposals that meet requirements; to ensure public and private grants are administered in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and statutes; and to identify and research potential funding sources to support existing programs or program expansion. This position entails planning and facilitating training and development of staff to improve performance; developing, monitoring, assessing, reviewing and evaluating employee performance based on the established standards; administering human resources corporate-wide personnel programs and policies with responsibility for selections, promotions, awards, and corrective actions within the department; and managing the department budget. Candidates must have excellent written, oral, and facilitation skills; a positive image and demonstrated effective working relationships with local and statewide grants agency representatives; ability to work effectively in a team environment; ability to perform job with minimum supervision; proficiency in the use of computer based software for word processing, graphics, and statistical software; knowledge of 1974 Privacy Act is required as use of patient record is an integral part of the position and privacy of individuals must be protected to the fullest; and ability to maintain quality, safety and infection control standards. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in public health, business administration or a related field, or equivalent training and experience; three years of progressive experience in writing grants for social service agencies with mental health, general health programs, or tribal health entities; and one year of supervisory or project leadership experience.

Family Wellness Warriors Initiative (FWWI) Administrator
This position is responsible for the operation and development of both the secular and faith-based branches of the Family Wellness Warriors Initiative. Duties include: oversight, direction and management of all secular and faith-based activities of the FWWI as outlined in strategic plans and funding guidelines; day-to-day management; ensuring that the mission and values of Southcentral Foundation are incorporated; coordination with human resources on personnel management. Candidates must have strong leadership, analytical and decision-making skills; and strong written, oral and presentation, facilitation and interpersonal skills. Must be able to develop and maintain effective working relationships with members of the senior management staff; ability to work in a rapidly changing and innovative health care system and to adapt systems to align with these changes. Other qualifications include: ability to manage programs, projects and people; ability to manage complex budgets within operational parameters and knowledge of quality improvement and management techniques; knowledge of human resource laws and practices, health care accreditation standards and grant writing and compliance. Candidates should have a Master’s degree or equivalent training and experience, two years of project management experience, two years experience working in faith-based programs or initiatives and thorough understanding of the cultures and needs of Alaska Natives and Native Americans.
