| If you have recently dialed CIRI’s main telephone
number, you’ve likely been greeted by CIRI descendant Michael
Maxon. Maxon has been the first point of contact as the company’s
receptionist since early February. Michael, who grew up in Anchorage
and graduated from East High School in 2002, is the son of Naomi
Miller and Willis Maxon.
As receptionist for the company, he is responsible for assisting
visitors and callers to CIRI. “Michael is very good with people,”
said Diana Preble, CIRI’s manager of compensation and benefits
and Maxon’s supervisor. “With his enthusiasm and experience,
he is a great addition to CIRI.”
Maxon started working at age 14 for Southcentral Foundation and
has extensive experience and training in customer service. “I
always try to assess the situation as best as possible, be polite,
and connect with customers. They need to know that they are understood
and heard,” said Maxon.
Maxon lives an active lifestyle and enjoys fishing, hunting, snow
machining, snowboarding and mechanical work. He and his wife, Mary,
are raising their 13-month-old daughter, Nevaeh. |
