Lori L. Gonzales, 42
Lori L. Gonzales died June 1, 2004, at home in Fairbanks, Alaska. Ms. Gonzales was born July 29, 1961, in Anchorage, Alaska. She is survived by her son, Andre LaFrance; mother, Kitty Allen; grandson, Cody James Peterson; brother, Robert O. Allen Jr.; daughter-in-law, Lorinda Rose Peterson; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends throughout Alaska.

Beryl Christine (Chrissie) Jacobsson (a/k/a Franklin), 51
Beryl Christine Jacobsson died June, 12, 2004, at UW Medical Center in Seattle, Wash. Ms. Jacobsson was born July 6, 1952, in Bethel, Alaska. She was the youngest of 10 children of Charles and Mildred Jacobsson. Ms. Jacobsson is survived by her sons, Richard Perry of Anchorage and Christopher Jacobsson of Virginia; daughter and son-in-law, June and Greg Layman of La Verne, Calif.; brother, John Jacobsson of Kenai; sisters, Jeanne Hull of Calif., Hilda Vandergriff of Mo., Deirdre Viera, Desa Jacobsson, Freida Bossette, June Jardine, and Valerie Gallegos; and her grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Her family says she was a vivacious woman who loved the outdoors and the sea, and was a talented Native dancer, a well-respected artist, loving mother, sister, auntie, and grandmother.

Nicky R. Kirkpatrick (a/k/a Perry), 33
Nicky R. Kirkpatrick died June 7, 2004, in Eugene, Ore. Ms. Kirkpatrick was born Jan. 2, 1971, in Anchorage, Alaska. She is survived by her daughter, Crystal R. Kirkpatrick, and parents, Nick and Veta Sacaloff. Ms. Kirkpatrick graduated from Nikiski Middle-Senior High School and moved to Oregon in 2002, where she was a homemaker.

Emma Lietzke Mathews, 85
Emma Lietzke Mathews died June 28, 2004, at Mary Conrad Center in Anchorage, Alaska. Ms. Mathews was born July 5, 1918, in Bethel, Alaska. She is survived by her daughter, Grace Slayter, and sons, George Clyde, Richard Clyde, and Robert W. Clyde.

Sharon Hatfield Meldrich, 59
Sharon Hatfield Meldrich died March 20, 2004, at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, N.C. Ms. Meldrich was born Nov. 22, 1944, in Bangor, Maine. She is survived by her daughters, Carrie M. Beck and Heather Meldrich; son, Joseph M. Meldrich; sisters, Patricia Gifford, Cathy Rollins, and Nancy Sanders; and brother, Frank Hatfield.

Frederick T. Oates, 81
Frederick T. Oates died July 1, 2004, at home in Federal Way, Wash. Mr. Oates was born July 17, 1922, in McGrath, Alaska. He is survived by his wife, Margaret; son, Richard; and daughter-in-law, Sharon.

Steve (Stephan) Peter Oskolkoff Jr., 64
Steve Oskolkoff Jr. died April 1, 2004, at Providence Wesley Care in Seward, Alaska. Mr. Oskolkoff was born Sept. 18, 1939, in Anchorage, Alaska. He is survived by his sister, Irene Oskolkoff-McMillan, and half-brother, Leo Stephan.

Mabel Makaroff Spencer, 93
Mabel Makaroff Spencer died May 27, 2004, at Heritage Place in Soldotna, Alaska. Ms. Spencer was born May 8, 1911, in Hope, Alaska. She is survived by her grandson, Peter Reese; sisters, Olga Hilleary and Ida Sigler; nieces, nephews, and their spouses, Pamela and Dennis Moeglein, Debra and Christopher Little, Ronald and Patricia Hilleary, Richard and Janet Hilleary, and Jeannie Smith.

Martin Ernest Teresin Sr., 67
Martin Ernest Teresin Sr. died March 24, 2004, at Kaiser Hospital in Fontana, Calif. Mr. Teresin was born March 2, 1937, in Kenai, Alaska. He is survived by his wife, Mary Teresin; daughters, Rhonda Martinson, Kelly Nodurfth, Leilani Valdepena, Charlotte Wright, and Ruthie Zygutis; sons, Mark Teresin and Martin Teresin, Jr.; sisters, Barbara Bartlett and Marie Miller; brother, John Rine; 20 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

James Diamond Wilson, 66
James Diamond Wilson died June 13, 2004, at Alaska Native Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska. Mr. Wilson was born Oct. 6, 1937, in Old Nondalton, Alaska. He is survived by his wife, Lydia; daughters, Janice Booth, Lavoune Gladney, and Frances Wilson; sons, Anthony, Harold, James III, James Perrin, Jarred, Justin Lee, and Sean Wilson; grandchildren, Anthony J., Brandon, Carlen, Desean, Hunter, Jacob, Janine, Joey, Jonah, Lucas, Megan, Sarah, Stephan, Tommy, and Zorea; sisters, Mary Alice Jaidinger, Eva LeVeque, and Frances Thiele; and brothers, George Wilson and William Wilson.
