This March, CIRI introduced a new design of the CIRI Shareholder Update newsletter. Now it is time to give the shareholder newsletter a new name, one that reinforces the identity of the CIRI region, its shareholders and their descendants. We invite CIRI shareholders and descendants to submit suggestions for a new name for the newsletter.

Since CIRI enjoys a unique diversity of many different Alaska Native cultures, the new name should emphasize a common thread, strength, or similarity of all of the Alaska Native cultures or it should be one that represents the Cook Inlet region. Participants should include a brief paragraph on why their submission is representative of CIRI and its shareholders and descendants.

CIRI shareholders and descendants are eligible to participate. The deadline for submitting an entry for the Name the CIRI Newsletter contest is Monday, Oct. 31. A $200 cash prize will be awarded to the selected entry, which will be announced in the November newsletter.
