Albert Ephem Baktuit, 68
Albert Ephem Baktuit died Nov. 14, 2004, at Central Peninsula Hospital, in Soldotna, Alaska. Mr. Baktuit was born Jan. 16, 1936, in Kenai, Alaska. He is survived by his daughter, Shawn Baktuit; sisters, Evelyn Boulette and Carol Dolan; brother, Arthur (Gordon) Baktuit; grandchildren, Lanae Ella, Sadie Lynn and Michael Vincent; and many more relatives.

Carl A. Bowman Sr., 70
Carl A. Bowman Sr. died Nov. 6, 2004, at the Alaska Native Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska. Mr. Bowman was born July 15, 1934, in Nome, Alaska. He is survived by his daughter, Linda Troyer; son, Carl A. Bowman Jr.; and brothers, Jim Bowman and Robert Bowman.

Douglas Bryan, 61
Douglas Bryan died Aug. 28, 2004, at the Hotel Villa Mexicana in Zihuatanejo, Guerrero, Mexico. Mr. Bryan was born Sept. 15, 1942, in Fairbanks, Alaska. He is survived by his daughter, Daria Bryan; sister, Grace Bryan; and companion, Patricia J. Morillo.

Alyce Carlough, 84
Alyce Carlough died Oct. 21, 2004, at home in Tumwater, Wash. Ms. Carlough was born May 16, 1920, in Seldovia, Alaska. She is survived by her husband, Howard Carlough; daughters, Grace Marie Fairfax, Ida Mae Markey and Peggy Jean Monson; son, Gilbert Monson; sister, Thelma Patton; brother, Gilbert Ollestad; 14 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, two great, great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Andrew “Swede” Fox, 70
Andrew Fox died Oct. 6, 2004, in Renton, Wash. Mr. Fox was born Oct. 11, 1933, in Seldovia, Alaska. He is survived by his wife, Grace Fox; daughters, Pam Fox, Pat Fox and Kathy Thompson; sons, Edward, Kevin and Michael; sisters, LaVern Buchanan, Delores Petersen and Mae Sharp; and brothers, Arthur and Thomas.

Kenneth John Galley, 46
Kenneth John Galley died Aug. 1, 2004, in Nome, Alaska. Mr. Galley was born Oct. 31, 1957, in Nome, Alaska. He is survived by his daughter, Sonita Cleveland; sisters, Clara Annoyac, Janet Miller and Aleta Pushruk; brothers, Stan Galley and Brian Wienard; and other relatives and good friends.

Rayder Melvin Ursin, 78
Rayder Melvin Ursin died May 2, 2004, at the Alaska Native Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska. Mr. Ursin was born July 17, 1925, in Seldovia, Alaska. He is survived by his son, Donald Ray Ursin; sisters, Laura Resoff and Eleanor Shuravloff; and brother, Norman Ursin.

Anna Waterbury, 94
Anna Waterbury died Nov. 19, 2004, at home in Seldovia, Alaska. Ms. Waterbury was born Feb. 24, 1910, in Ninilchik, Alaska. She is survived by her daughter, Marion Collier; and sons, Raymond Waterbury Sr. and Russell Waterbury.
