| Marrs Named
to Business Hall of Fame
The Junior Achievement of Alaska Business Hall of Fame inducted
Carl Marrs, along with four other Alaskans, last month. The non-profit
organization teaches elementary and secondary students about free
enterprise. Marrs, who joined CIRI in 1973 as a land trainee, realized
the importance of education as a former commercial fisherman with
a GED education. Over the years, he has been a champion of philanthropy,
particularly in the areas of youth and education. The 19th Business
Hall of Fame recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions
to the Alaska economy.
