Lucille Olga Calhoun, 91
Lucille Olga Calhoun died May 3, 2003, at Highline Hospital in Seattle, Washington. Ms. Calhoun was born Dec. 30, 1911, in Hope, Alaska. She is survived by her brothers, Adolph W. and John C. Young; and nieces, Christy A. Rowe and Stephanie J. Cooper.

Doris Marie Haskell, 61
Doris Marie Haskell died April 12, 2003, in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Ms. Haskell was born Feb. 14, 1942, in Kenai, Alaska. She is survived by her daughter, Kelle Carver; son, Greg Haskell; granddaughters, Sarah Wilson and Elizabeth Cutler; grandsons, Shane Wilson, Zachary Carver, Aaron Sincoski, and Christopher Elliott; sisters, Katherine (Dolly) Horning, Julia Carson, Esther Segura, and Dorothy (Dottie) Lecceardone; and brothers, Paul and Robert Wilson.

Helene A. Hatfield, 63
Helene A. Hatfield died Dec. 10, 2002, in Soldotna, Alaska. Ms. Hatfield was born Feb. 4, 1939, in Kenai, Alaska. She is survived by her daughters, Carlene M. Edwards, Sonya M. Astad, and Grace M. Astad; and sons, Sam C. Hatfield and John C. Astad.

Lenora Nancine Howton, 45
Lenora Nancine Howton died April 12, 2003, at the DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Ms. Howton was born Dec. 4, 1957, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She is survived by her mother, Ester Marie Green; her father, William D. Green; sisters, Diane Green Arendt and Mary Kay Green; and nephews, Michael Frances Arendt and William D. Green.

Nadia K. Oskolkoff, 91

Former Ninilchik resident Nadia K. Oskolkoff died March 9, 2003, in Kodiak, Alaska. Mrs. Oskolkoff was born Oct. 8, 1911, in Ninilchik, Alaska. She was the eldest daughter of Alexander and Mary Kvasnikoff in a family of five sons and five daughters. Her surviving children are Archpriest Simeon Oskolkoff, Selma Leman, Alex Oskolkoff, Louise Sambo, and Paul Oskolkoff. Preceding her in death were her husband Simeon Oskolkoff Sr., and children Effie, Marie, and Peter. A memorial (Panihida) was served at Kodiak Holy Resurrection Orthodox-Cathedral with His Grace Bishop Nikolai officiating.



Connie Anne Snyder, 56
Connie Anne Syder died March 20, 2003, in Sarcoxie, Mo., after a three-year battle with cancer. She was born Feb. 24, 1947, to Leo and Leabell McDonald in Reeds, Mo. She is preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Snyder, and son, Dale Shannon Snyder. She is survived by her son, Daryl Shane Snyder; five sisters, June Schubert, Cindy Eads, Olene Straw, Janice Mason, and Jessica Trowbridge; and five grandchildren.

Emma Marie Tanner, 77
Emma Marie Tanner died April 30, 2003, at the Long Term Care Center of the South Peninsula Hospital in Homer, Alaska. Ms. Tanner was born February 27, 1926, in Seldovia, Alaska. She is survived by her daughter, Melody A. Bussee; son, Simon Carlough; and sisters, Lillian Landi and Cleo Swick.
