SHAREHOLDERS ELECT DIRECTORS AT 29TH ANNUAL MEETING

The 29th Annual Meeting of CIRI shareholders was held on Saturday, June 1, 2002, in Anchorage, Alaska, at the Sullivan Arena, with more than 500 people attending in person. Annual meeting attendees had the opportunity to hear the company's previous year's business report, as well as win door prizes and browse the informational booths.

CIRI shareholders elected B. Agnes Brown, Margie Brown, Patrick M. Marrs, Roy M. Huhndorf, and Robert Rude to the CIRI Board of Directors to serve three-year terms ending in 2005.

"I'm pleased shareholders have given the majority vote to the board of directors candidates. We just finished a phenomenal year, and our economic position is secure and sustainable. I'm looking forward to continuing to work with the board to achieve the goals it has outlined to shareholders," said Carl Marrs, CIRI president and chief executive officer.

The board of directors re-elected the following officers of the board at its meeting: Dr. Terry L. Simpson, chairman; Charles G. Anderson, vice-chairman; B. Agnes Brown, secretary; Clare Swan, assistant secretary; Michael R. Boling, treasurer; and Ronald G. Perry, assistant treasurer. Other directors who continue to serve their remaining terms are Chairman Emeritus John N. Colberg, Chairman Emeritus William C. Prosser, Gosta Dagg, William D. English, and Harold F. Rudolph.

CIRI directors are all Alaska Native and voting shareholders of the corporation.
