CIRI Summer Hire/Internship Program
CIRI is accepting resumes for the following 2003 summer hire/internship
positions:
Accounts Payable Clerk
This position is responsible for filing and data entry with emphasis
on accounts payable. This position requires neat and legible handwriting;
speedy and accurate use of calculators, typewriters and computers;
accurate and orderly document filing; strong Microsoft Word and
Excel skills; and good oral and written communication skills. Must
have general accounting experience, with accounts payable experience
preferred.
Transfer Coordinator & Accounts Receivable Clerk (3 positions)
This position is responsible for performing daily data transfer
of reservation information between the reservation and hotel management
systems. In addition, the position is responsible for processing
accounts receivable and assisting with general accounting duties.
This position requires excellent attention to detail; excellent
communication and analytical skills; strong Microsoft Word and Excel
skills; and ability to process information expeditiously and accurately.
Knowledge of standard travel industry practices and background in
accounting or bookkeeping is preferred. Must have two years of college
including principles of accounting, or three years of experience
in a high volume work setting requiring substantial attention to
detail.
Human Resources Clerk
This position is responsible for entry-level human resources functions,
primarily collecting and entering employee data into the HR/payroll
system and setting up personnel files. This position requires a
general understanding of human resources and payroll processes;
working knowledge of computers, including spreadsheet, word and
database programs; ability to produce accurate work while adhering
to strict deadlines; and good organizational skills and attention
to detail. Must have a high school diploma or GED; previous clerical
experience preferred.
Community Relations Intern
This position provides general clerical and special project support
to the community relations specialist. Duties include helping to
coordinate the CIRI golf tournament, processing donation requests,
coordinating participation in community and special events, keeping
community relations notebook and calendar up to date, and conducting
research. Must have knowledge of general office procedures and equipment
including industry standard computer software and FileMaker. Must
be well-organized, able to work independently on projects, and have
good written and oral communication skills. Preference will be given
to students enrolled in post-secondary education programs.
Groundskeeper
This position provides maintenance of grounds and interior and exterior
common areas of CIRI-owned properties. Duties include maintaining
grounds and common areas, using landscaping equipment, restocking
janitorial supplies and other duties as assigned. Must have basic
knowledge of grounds keeping and landscaping equipment, ability
to work without constant supervision and determine areas that need
attention, and written and oral communication skills appropriate
for the position. Must have clean, presentable appearance and be
able to regularly lift 50 pounds.
GIS Intern
This position is responsible for various data entry into GIS shapefiles
and databases; map production; inventory, retrieval and transmittal
of new and stored data; data location and project organization;
and other duties as assigned. Must have strong organizational skills,
familiarity with GIS software, understanding of GIS principals and
data entry techniques including digitizing; competent in use of
Microsoft Word, Excel and Access, ability to work independently
and to lift 25 pounds or more. Must have high school diploma or
GED and previous experience or education in GIS, geography, geomatics
or related field.
