CITC Seeking Director, Educational Services System
The Director manages the Educational Services System department under the oversight of the Chief of Operations. The Director is responsible for implementation, employee development, fiscal planning, budget development and monitoring, as well as compliance of state, federal and grant requirements of all programs within the education delivery system. Qualifications for this position include a master’s degree, Ph.D. or Ed.D; a minimum of five years administrative experience in the field of tribal service delivery; five years experience designing and implementing Alaska Native educational programming; and an understanding of the history of education in Alaska and its past and present impact on Alaska Natives and Native Americans. Alaska Native Heritage Center Project Coordinator
The Project Coordinator will work on the Alaska Native Heritage Center village site restoration project. Responsibilities include assisting the exhibits and collections curator with the planning, research, maintenance and documentation of the Heritage Center’s village site restoration. Candidates should be able to work independently as well as with a highly competent team. They must possess knowledge of the museum profession, especially collections and exhibitory policies, knowledge of Alaska Native art from all cultures, knowledge of computer programs related to curatorial responsibilities, knowledge of design and building of cases and displays; and have good written and verbal communication skills. First Alaskans Institute Summer Intern Program
First Alaskans Institute is seeking applicants for a 2005 Summer Intern Program, which will place 30 Alaska Native undergraduate and graduate students in businesses and organizations throughout Alaska to provide leadership development experiences in areas such as oil and gas, industry, education, health, communications and public policy. The paid internships are 10 weeks, from early June to mid-August. While schedules can be adjusted based on student academic schedules, interns are expected to complete the entire 10-week session. Interns will receive leadership development and training each Friday. Where feasible, audio and/or visual connections will be arranged for interns not located in Anchorage.

Students in good academic standing and college juniors, seniors or graduate students are welcome to apply. First Alaskans Institute must receive completed application packets by close of business on April 15. Only completed applications will be accepted.
