Let’s Get to Business

Shareholder Named CFO of CIRI

CIRI shareholder Sophie Minich was recently named chief financial officer of the corporation. As CFO, Minich has primary management responsibility for the corporation’s accounting systems, financial reporting and analysis functions, financial controls, treasury functions, tax and tax filing matters, and shareholder financial records.
Minich, who has been a CIRI vice president since 1999, was most recently chief operating officer of CIRI Alaska Tourism Corporation. She joined CIRI’s accounting department in 1993 and served as the director of accounting from 1998 to 1999.

Minich replaces Craig Floerchinger, who served as CFO of the company for 11 years. He resigned in April to pursue personal business opportunities. June Dividend Announced.

The CIRI Board of Directors declared a 2003 second quarter dividend of $7 per share. Shareholders with 100 shares of stock will receive a second quarter 2003 dividend of $700. This amount represents taxable income to shareholders. Checks will be mailed or deposited directly into accounts on Monday, June 30. A voucher will be mailed showing the amount for those participating in direct deposit.

CIRI encourages shareholders to take advantage of direct deposit for distributions because it safeguards against misplaced, lost, or stolen dividends. The deadline to sign up for direct deposit for the 2003 second quarter distribution is 3 p.m., Monday, June 2.

Shareholders are also encouraged to keep a current address on file with the Shareholder Relations department, even if participating in direct deposit. For those not participating in direct deposit, payments are mailed to the address on record, and cannot be picked up at the CIRI office. Filing a forwarding request with the post office only forwards mail for a limited time. In order to change the address on stock records for future mailings, shareholders must also send a signed address change to CIRI. Please include a current telephone number along with an address change. The deadline for address changes for the second quarter distribution is 3 p.m., Wednesday, June 18.
