Tax Manager

This position is responsible for federal and state (multiple) corporate income and miscellaneous tax compliance, as well as accounting and financial analysis as assigned for CIRI’s overall accounting and reporting requirements. An undergraduate degree in accounting and four years accounting experience are required and corporate income tax compliance experience is preferred.

Probate Technician

This position is responsible for administering processes associated with incoming wills, assisting with determining the legal heirs of CIRI stock belonging to deceased shareholders, and preparing the estate files of these shareholders for settlement. Two years college education and two years experience in business administration or legal work preferred.

CIRI Summer Hire/Internship Program
CIRI is accepting resumes for the following 2003 summer hire/internship positions:

Accounts Payable Clerk
This position is responsible for filing and data entry with emphasis on accounts payable. Must have general accounting experience, with accounts payable experience preferred.

GIS Intern
This position is responsible for various data entry into GIS shapefiles and databases; map production; inventory, retrieval and transmittal of new and stored data; data location and project organization; and other duties as assigned. Must have high school diploma or GED and previous experience or education in GIS, geography, geomatics or related field.

Land Clerk
This position is responsible for providing project support to the Real Estate Department by assisting in auditing land files, researching land issues, maintaining current files and performing other duties as assigned. Applicants must have good organizational skills and pay attention to detail; competence in use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Access; ability to type 45 wpm; good oral and written communication skills; a high school diploma or GED; and previous clerical experience is preferred.

Summer Youth Employment Program
Alaska Natives, Native Americans, and Native Hawaiians who are 14 through 21 years of age and meet eligibility requirements can apply for one of the jobs available through Cook Inlet Tribal Council’s Summer Youth Employment Program. Participants in the program will work 30 to 40 hours each week for either six or eight weeks, and earn almost $1450 during the program.
