In addition to the event’s traditional festivities, Lake Las Vegas Resort specifically designed an Alaskan educational outreach program for the Clark County School District. The exclusive program reached approximately 600 Las Vegas Valley children who experienced a two-hour interactive session on Alaska history, wildlife, traditions and culture.
Prior to the event, Lake Las Vegas Director of Marketing Cary Krukowski said, “This will be a rare opportunity for Southern Nevada to experience true Alaskan culture, tradition and food in the unique setting of Lake Las Vegas.”

Lake Las Vegas is the site of three CIRI investments: The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Las Vegas Resort; the Hyatt Regency Lake Las Vegas Resort; and the Casino MonteLago.

The Alaska Native Heritage Center Dance Group performs at Lake Las Vegas Resort’s “Wild About Alaska” event. The group also told stories and demonstrated Native games.
