GIS & Land Specialist
This position provides Geographic Information System (GIS) services for land management activities in CIRI’s Real Estate department. Duties include administering, maintaining, developing and implementing the automated mapping and relational database system (CIRI-LIS) and all spatial data associated with land management activities. Applicants should have a working knowledge of the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act and the Alaska National Interest Lands Conservation Act; working knowledge of land record systems, land surveying, legal descriptions and platting, and the ability to interpret land status information; knowledge of principles of geography/cartography, including procedures, techniques, nomenclature, and operation of GIS data acquisition including digitizing, automated mapping, and database design and maintenance. Minimum Experience for this position includes a bachelor’s degree in geographical information systems, geography information systems, land management, administration or a closely related field; or an associate degree with additional GIS certificate; or any combination of training and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities; and two years of progressively responsible experience in managing or administering, maintaining, and implementing automated mapping and/or GIS systems preferred.

General Manager, Seward Windsong Lodge
CIRI Alaska Tourism is seeking a general manager for its Seward Windsong Lodge. This position reports to the chief operating officer and is responsible for the management and daily operation of the Seward Windsong Lodge. This includes responsibility for the efficient operation of the front office and guest registration functions, housekeeping, accounting and cash control, food and beverage operations, tour desk operations, gift shop operations, and proper maintenance of the buildings. Interested applicants should have knowledge of management principles of the hotel and restaurant business, including service standards, accounting practices, and cost control practices; working knowledge of food and beverage operations; working knowledge of the tourism business in Alaska; skill in conducting negotiations and structuring business relations; working knowledge of maintenance and safety standards and requirements in the hotel industry; and ability to work with legal, technical, managerial and professional specialists; with executives from a variety of companies; and with management and staff at all levels of the Company. This position requires five years experience in hotel and/or restaurant management; or any combination of management, education and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.
