Baby Tyler baby tyler
Tyler Mason Stewart was born at 5:16 p.m., December 2, 1999, to CIRI shareholder Kathy Stewart and her husband Blake. Tyler is their first child. In addition, he's the first grandchild for her parents, CIRI shareholder Laura and Skip Johnson.
Tyler at 4 months, already practicing for his driver's license test.

Sarah Laraine Baktuit was born on February 11, 2000, at 11:38 a.m., to Sherri Baktuit (Hanson) and CIRI shareholder Dale Baktuit of Kenai, Alaska. Her grandparents are Glenn and Laraine Hanson of Kenai and Corrine Olson and Arthur Gordon Baktuit of Kenai.
 
 
Baby Devin
Devin Michael Smith was born November 15, 1999, in Kent, Washington, to CIRI shareholder
Linda Smith and her husband Jeff. Devin has baby  devintwo sisters, Kelsie and Taylor, and is the grandson of Randy and Carole Madison of Kent, Washington.
 
 

 

 

Woodhead Selected for Mentorship Program

dustin woodheadDustin R. Woodhead, 17-year-old son of CIRI shareholder Robert and Kathy Woodhead, was one of 100 junior and senior high school students to be selected for the 1999-2000 Gifted Education Mentorship Program offered through the Anchorage School District. Woodhead, who is completing his junior year at East Anchorage High School, met the program's stringent scholastic standards by having achievement test scores of 95 percent or above, plus a high GPA. Woodhead was placed with Tom Coomer, General Manager of Syntax Productions, a division of KTUU Channel 2 Broadcasting Company.CIRI Mac b/w

John Raphael Bishop, 80
John R. Bishop died January 9, 2000, at his home. Mr. Bishop was born in Sleetmute, Alaska, on December 25, 1919. He is survived by his daughter Karen Enstice; stepchildren Bernie, Louise and Dennis Proctor; adopted brother Eddie Bishop; grandchildren Mikhail, William and Erica Enstice, and Shyla and Jessica Proctor.
 
Adam Phillip Bloch, 81
Adam P. Bloch died February 21, 2000, at his home. Mr. Bloch was born in Seldovia, Alaska, on August 17, 1918. He is survived by his wife Normagene Bloch; son Phillip D. Bloch; stepdaughter Janice Blasy; grandson Nicholas P. Bloch.
 
Barbara Joyce Lopez, 49
Barbara J. Lopez died March 2, 2000, at the Alaska Native Medical Center. Mrs. Lopez was born in Naknek, Alaska, on July 11, 1950. She is survived by her husband Leonard and sons Darrell, Bryon, Darren and Kevin Lopez.
 
Harold "Scoop" Mahle, 75
Harold "Scoop" Mahle died January 1, 2000, at Country Living in Sterling, Alaska. Mr. Mahle was born in Anchorage, Alaska, on October 22, 1924. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Dixie and Tom Hess; sisters Olga Hilleary, Mabel Spencer and Ida Sigler; granddaughters Christina, Joni and Caniece; great-grandchildren Savannah and Jason; and many nieces and nephews.
 
Michael James Sirloak, Jr., 31
Michael J. Sirloak, Jr. died May 5, 1999, at the Summit Medical Center in Oakland, California. Mr. Sirloak was born in Oakland, California, on October 10, 1968. He is survived by his mother Melody Sirloak.
 
Fred Slawson, 64
Fred Slawson died December 8, 1999, at St. James Nursing Center in St. James, Missouri. Mr. Slawson was born in Newburg, Missouri, on June 16, 1935. He is survived by his daughters Donita L. Peter and Becky Peratrovich; grandchildren Gilbert Slawson, Sarah, Feona and Samuel Peter, Virgil, Angel, Tony, Larry and Greg McCord, Franco and Nathan McWilliams, Simeon Standifer; great grandchildren Raymond Slawson, and Angelina and Carl McCord.
 
Harry Harold Wilson, 55
Harry H. Wilson died February 19, 2000, at the Alaska Regional Hospital. Mr. Wilson was born in Kodiak, Alaska, on May 28, 1944. He is survived by his sisters Arlene Trefry and Debbie Redmond.
 
Noel Benjaman Wilson, 59

Noel B. Wilson died March 6, 2000, at his home. Mr. Wilson was born at Wilson's Slough on the Kuskokwim River near McGrath, Alaska, on May 18, 1940. He is survived by his wife Peggy Sue; his five children, Noelle Marie, John Bryan, Noel B. and Kenneth Lytle Wilson and Jennifer Pinard; nine grandchildren Christopher, Ben, Patricia, Keagan, Orin, Martin, Marshall, Kaylen and Ken; siblings; Jesse Renner, Patricia Grosz and Dan Callahan; many uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.
