Nellie Alexander died Feb. 12, 2002, at the Alaska Native Medical Center
in Anchorage, Alaska. Ms. Alexander was born March 24, 1920 in Mary's
Igloo, Alaska. She is survived by her sons, Robert Esenituk and Ralph
Alexander; and her daughters, Sarah Esenituk Bonyfeltd and Mary Alexander.

Karen M. DeMarmels died Dec. 22, 2001, at home in Harpursville, New York.
Ms. DeMarmels was born in Liberty, New York. She is survived by her husband,
Peter F. DeMarmels; daughter, Denise D. DeMarmels; and her mother, Katherine
Brenner.

Mr. Johnson was born May 28, 1928, in Naknek, Alaska. He is survived by
his wife, Millie Johnson; son, Robert D. Johnson; sisters, Elvira Maney,
Agnes Parks and Emma Love; and brothers, Martin Johnson and Richard Johnson.
Judson Frank Keezer, 78
Judson Frank Keezer died March 2, 2002, at the home of his daughter in
Lucerne Valley, Calif. Mr. Keezer was born Sept. 27, 1923, in Eden, New
York. He is survived by his daughter, Regina Kay Garrison, and grandson,
Michael Garrison.
Lubov Kious, 67
Lubov Kious died Feb. 13, 2002, at the Alaska Native Medical Center in
Anchorage, Alaska. Ms. Kious was born Oct. 12, 1934, in St. Paul Island,
Alaska. She is survived by her daughters, Augusta Poole, Alexandra S.
Pope and Leta M. Gannon; and sons, Stanley W. Kious and Gary J. Kious.
Darlene Mae Nesja, 68
Darlene Mae Nesja died Nov. 9, 2001, at Wausau Hospital in Wausau, Wis.
Ms. Nesja was born April 11, 1933, in Marshfield, Wis. She is survived
by her daughters, Ann Marie Bohy, Tiffany Mary Revering and Dawn Marie
Nesja; and son, Timothy Allen Nesja.

Elsa Louise Pedersen died Nov. 25, 2001, at home in Sterling, Alaska.
Ms. Pedersen was born May 15, 1915, in Utah. She is survived by her stepdaughter,
Kathleen Pedersen Haley; friend, Susan Gilbertsen; and two nieces and
a nephew.

Center in Anchorage, Alaska. Ms. Shavings was born July 4, 1929, in Nunivak
Island, Alaska. She is survived by her daughters, Laura Kolerok and Anna
Shavings; and sons, Luther M. Shavings, Martin J. Shavings, Dennis J.
Shavings and Jacob A. Shavings.
Mary Louise White, 52
Mary Louise White died Jan. 9, 2002, at United General Hospital in Sedro
Woolley, Wash. Ms. White was born Dec. 20, 1949, in Anchorage, Alaska.
She is survived by her husband, John White; sisters, Cheryl Cox and Kim
