Alaska Process Industry Careers Consortium Offers Scholarships and Internships

Alaska Process Industry Careers Consortium is an industry led partnership with education to develop the skilled workforce needed for the future of Alaska's oil, gas, mining and power industries. APICC works to ensure the availability of highly trained Alaskans, sufficient to staff the process industry competitively in the years to come through partnerships, leadership, awareness and advocacy.

The anticipated need for technical workers in Alaska's process industries will create a skills shortage unless Alaskans can receive technical training needed to prepare them to fill these positions. In addition to developing education, scholarships and internships are provided to help prepare students to work in the industries.

APICC and the First Alaskans Institute offer scholarships for Alaska Natives interested in enrolling in the Process Technology two-year degree program offered at the University of Alaska Anchorage, University of Alaska Fairbanks, or Kenai Peninsula College. Students must be enrolled in at least six semester hours per semester to be eligible.
