Tina McCutcheon,
Receptionist/Administrative Assistant
The bright, cheery voice you hear when you call CIRI may belong to Tina McCutcheon. She is CIRIšs receptionist and administrative assistant. In the morning she helps various departments within CIRI with a variety of projects and in the afternoon she answers the telephone and greets visitors.

A CIRI shareholder of Tlingit heritage, McCutcheon was born in Cordova, Alaska. When she was six months old, a farming family of Italian heritage adopted her and raised her in the Palmer area where she graduated from high school.

Eventually, she married and moved to Anchorage. After her marriage ended, she attended the University of Alaska Anchorage where she studied business and computers. While attending college, McCutcheon also worked and raised her two boys, Blaine and Dennis.

She lives with her two sons in a home they were recently able to remodel with the CIRI distribution. In addition, she has landscaped the area around her home, added a fence and planted trees, lilac bushes, lilies and ferns.

"Even though Išve stuck to a fairly conservative budget, our home has finally turned into a really nice place to spend time together," said McCutcheon.

This year, her younger son, Blaine, will be in eighth grade and her older son, Dennis, has just graduated from high school. She is very proud of her sons. In her spare time, she likes to spend time with her boys; they go camping, fishing and four-wheeling. Another favorite family outing is riding wave runners across Big Lake. In addition, she is trying to learn more about her Tlingit culture and family background.
