| Rolf Dagg earns master's degree This year, former CIRI Foundation scholarship recipient and CIRI shareholder Rolf Dagg earned a master of business administration from the University of Washington, located in Seattle, Wash. According to Dagg, although the University of Washington is a large school, there were only 300 students in the MBA program, which made for smaller classes. He chose this school because of its good location and excellent program. He also wanted to broaden his contacts and become more familiar with the Seattle area. In 1994, Dagg graduated cum laude with an undergraduate degree in economics and Native American studies from Dartmouth College in Hanover, N.H. He liked the school because of the exceptional academic reputation, focus on recruiting Native American students and the fact that there were only 4,000 undergraduates attending the school. In addition, he was able to design some of his own courses and focus on Alaska Native issues. |

| When he wasn't attending college, he fished commercially out of Washington and southeast Alaska. Last summer, he completed an internship at VoiceStream Wireless, which he said was an exciting place to work.
Dagg is grateful for The CIRI Foundation's scholarship program, which enabled him to complete both of his degree programs. "The CIRI Foundation is important because as more shareholders attend college and get their degrees, they are, in effect, insuring the future of our corporation."
