1999 Visitor Industry Job Fair
Take an opportunity to meet employers from more than 30 of Alaska's major tour companies during the 1999 Holiday-Break Visitor Industry Job Fair being held Tuesday, December 21 at the Egan Convention Center from noon until 4 p.m.
Now is the time many companies begin looking for summer employees. Alaska Native Health Board Seeks President/CEO
The Alaska Native Health Board, a non-profit tribal organization, is seeking applicants for the position of president and chief executive officer. The successful applicant must be familiar with the Alaska Native health care delivery system as well as applicable federal and state laws, regulations and funding processes. Qualifications include a master's degree in public health or a related field, and five years experience. Experience may be substituted for the graduate degree. Alyeska Pipeline Invests in Interns
Alyeska Pipeline Service Company is making a big investment in an internship program for the Trans Alaska Pipeline System (TAPS). Under the leadership of President Bob Malone, Alyeska is investing $1 million through the remainder of 1999, $4.5 million for 2000 and $4.8 million per year thereafter for 20 to 30 interns to work for Alyeska in their Anchorage, Fairbanks and Valdez business units.

"I believe it's a great opportunity for Alaska Natives interested in a rewarding career in the oil and oil transportation industry. I don't know of many companies in Alaska that are making this level of investment in workforce renewal and building workforce diversity," said Debra Call, Alyeska Pipeline Service Company's human resources Alaska Native program manager.
Available positions will include a variety of disciplines including engineering, finance, human resources, clerical, technicians, safety, etc. Alyeska's intern investment is part of a workforce renewal effort.
