Reservations Manager, CIRI Alaska Tourism |
| This position manages all aspects of the reservations department including space management, groups, staffing and supervision; assists with designing tour itineraries, negotiating tour vendor agreements, and monitors agreements; monitors customer payments and quality control for all reservations. Minimum experience includes a bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, accounting, or human resources; five years experience in reservations management, tour inventory control, hotel reservations or inventory control; or any combination of management and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities. Experience in the Alaska tourism industry is a must. Demonstrated success in working independently and computer literacy, including creation of word processing documents and spreadsheets, is required. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products preferred.

Reservations Agent, CIRI Alaska Tourism |
| This position works directly with customers to reserve various components of package tours, marine tours and lodge rooms. Minimum experience includes a combination of one year of experience in the tourism industry, or in a position with extensive phone use; ability to type 30 words per minute; and basic computer skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and Microsoft Access preferred. |
Sales Manager, CIRI Alaska Tourism |
| The sales manager position makes sales calls, devises sales strategy, and develops a customer base for all CIRI Alaska Tourism products and services; executes all group travel contracts; conducts presentations to tour FAM groups; travels within assigned sales areas and to travel and trade shows as assigned; and solicits business and develops leads via direct mail programs. Minimum requirements include a bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, advertising, or public relations; two years experience in tourism marketing, sales, advertising, or public relations; or any combination of education, management and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities. Experience in the Alaska tourism industry is highly desirable as well as demonstrated success in working independently. Computer literacy including creation of word processing documents, bulk mailings, and spreadsheets required. Knowledge of Windows 95, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and contact management programs preferred. |
Manager, Grant Development & Administration, Southcentral Foundation |
| Southcentral Foundation has an opening for a manager of grant development and administration to work with program managers and join a dynamic management team committed to promoting wellness within the Native community. Qualifications for the job include: minimum of six years of successful grant development and administration experience related to the Alaska Native and/or American Indian communities, and minimum of two years of management experience with direct supervision of three to four proposal writers, clerical and exempt staff. Family Assessment Worker (Social Worker) |

This position is responsible for providing in-home assessments for Alaska Native/American Indian families who have Priority 3 referrals from Division of Family and Youth Services and for determining the child's safety in the home. This position is also responsible for assessing the family's need for services and working with the family in providing community agency referrals and follow-up. This includes individual home visits, ongoing assessments, coordination, resource information, client advocacy, and referral to other service providers.
The family assessment worker also participates in interdisciplinary treatment planning, and provides intensive client case management. The position may be placed at the DFYS office. Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in social work, psychology or counseling. |
Child Welfare Family Advocate |
| This position provides direct service to Native families and clients who are involved with Division of Family and Youth Services or at risk of being involved with DFYS, including outreach services in client homes. Administrative Assistant, Ernie Turner Center |
| The Ernie Turner Center (ANARC) has an opening for a full-time administrative assistant. This position provides the initial patient contact via telephone or walk-in traffic. The position also provides overall office support for the director of the center and for the clinical staff. Candidates must be experienced in office management, computer systems, and telephone etiquette, scheduling and dealing with the general public. Fellowships are awarded to 12 outstanding mid-career journalists in the United States with at least seven years of full-time professional experience. | Application deadline for the Public Relations Society of America, multicultural affairs scholarship is Friday, April 13, 2001.
