Leonard E. Benkoe died Sept. 17, 2001, at home in Burton, Ohio. Mr. Benkoe
was born May 6, 1961, in Anchorage, Alaska. He is survived by his wife
Diana Benkoe; son Matthew Benkoe; mother Audrey Benkoe; sisters, Carol
Kosbruk, Sherry Reedy, and Jerilyn Kosbruk; and brothers, Gary Kosbruk
and John Kosbruk.
John Robert Campbell, 64
John Robert Campbell died Sept. 23, 2001, at home in Odenville, Ala. Mr.
Campbell is survived by his daughters, Louise Copeland, Brenda L. Powell
and Margaret I. Williams; and sons, John A. Campbell and Tommy J. Campbell.
Allen Andy Deitz, 68
Allen Andy Deitz died Oct. 6, 2001, at home in Amarillo, Texas. Mr. Deitz
was born Dec. 5, 1932, in Seldovia, Alaska. He is survived by his wife
Patsy Deitz; sons, Allen Andy Deitz, Jr., Kenneth K. Deitz and David D.
Deitz; daughter Dakean Jones; stepdaughters, Lisa Rogers and Shannon Rogers;
and 11 grandchildren.
Timothy Guy Hughes, 40
Timothy Guy Hughes died July 21, 2001, at home in Anchorage, Alaska. Mr.
Hughes was born Sept. 30, 1960, in Anchorage, Alaska. He is survived by
his father David A. Hughes, Sr.; sister Tishumingo Metcalf; brothers,
James V. Hughes, David A. Hughes, Jr. and Guy J. Hughes; nephews, Allen
C. L. Metcalf, Timothy J. E. Metcalf; and nieces, Ayshona L. Metcalf,
Tia M. Hughes and Taylor Hughes.
Elsie Kakaruk, 78
Elsie Kakaruk died July 12, 2001, at home in Anchorage, Alaska. Ms. Kakaruk
was born March 8, 1923, and is survived by her sons, Patrick T. Kakaruk,
Floyd S. Kakaruk, Steve Kakaruk and Walter Kakaruk; and daughters, Ann
Kalerak, Kathy King, Linda Japp, Mary Ellen Baier and Margaret Kakaruk.
Edward McCormick, 78
Edward McCormick died April 2, 2001, at home in Wasilla, Alaska. Mr. McCormick
was born Aug. 29, 1922, in Rampart, Alaska, and is survived by his sister
Martha C. Littlefield and his 13 nieces and 11 nephews who are the children
of his predeceased siblings.
Rosa Ekkrileazue Sebwenna, 68
Rosa Ekkrileazue Sebwenna died Nov. 6, 2001, at home in Anchorage, Alaska.
Ms. Sebwenna was born May 24, 1933, and is survived by her daughters,
Elizabeth Ann Sebwenna, Geraldine W. Sebwenna, and Aurora Harris; and
her son-in-law Tony Harris.
Earl Dewayne Trammell, 58
Earl Dewayne Trammell died Sept. 19, 2001, in Lancaster, Calif. Mr. Trammell
was born April 26, 1943, in Anchorage, Alaska, and is survived by his
wife Penny Marie Trammell; son Brian Earl Trammell; and mother Beatrice
Shirley Trammell.
