| Leadership Anchorage Seeks Applicants for 2002 Leadership Anchorage, a program of the Alaska Humanities Forum, strives to prepare emerging leaders from Anchoragešs diverse community with the knowledge, skills, and practical experiences necessary to envision and build a better community for all Alaskans. The program was conceived four years ago by a group of community leaders to encourage civic participation from all of the communityšs diverse populations. Members of each Leadership Anchorage class are recruited and selected based on their creativity, initiative, and commitment to community service. Over a period of six months, the class participates in 10 full-day sessions which prepare them to be more reflective, effective, collaborative, and involved in civic decision-making and community building. All interested applicants must submit a completed application with three letters of reference by 4 p.m. on Jan. 11, 2002. Applications are available on-line at www.akhf.org or by contacting Barbara Brown at (907) 272-5324, www.akhf.orgwww.akhf.org, or leadership@akhf.org. |
