Bowdon Graduates from UAA
CIRI descendant Tamara Bowdon graduatedt. bodden from the University of Alaska Anchorage with a bachelor's degree in psychology and a minor in history last December. Bowdon is a member of the National Honor Society in psychology and the Golden Key National Honor Society.                           Tamara Bowdon

Bowdon thanks The CIRI Foundation, Bureau of Indian Affairs, Seldovia Native Association, and Seldovia Village Tribe for their support. She currently lives in Anchorage and plans to continue her studies in graduate school, majoring in education or educational psychology.

Gottlieb & Otte Named Women of Achievement
Katherine Gottlieb, a CIRI shareholder and president and CEO of Southcentral Foundation, and Vicki Otte, a Doyon shareholder and executive director of the Association of ANCSA Regional Corporation Presidents/CEOs, were among 10 Alaskan women named as honorees in

Achievement Program. Honorees are chosen based on their hard work, talent, and perseverance. The Women of Achievement Program was started in 1990 to pay tribute to women who demonstrate leadership and              Katherine Gottlieb

George Raymond Kincheloe Sr., 52
George R. Kincheloe, Sr., died Dec. 30, 1999, at his home. Mr. Kincheloe was born in Pilot Station, Alaska, on September 2, 1947. He is survived by his wife Barbara; sons George, Justin, Steven and Jon; daughters Tiffany and Samantha; his parents Allen and Edith Kincheloe; and his brothers Allen and Donald.
 
Olive Alice Kobuk, 74
Olive A. Kobuk died Dec. 14, 1999, at the Alaska Native Medical Center. Ms. Kobuk was born in Barrow, Alaska, on April 18, 1925. She is survived by daughters Florence Caldwell and Christina Hobbs; son Tony Susook, Jr.; brother Noah Phillips; aunts Isa Sovalik and Sara Evak; niece Maude Hunnicutt; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
 
Theodore W. Lott, 71
Theodore W. Lott died Jan. 4, 2000, at the Sitka Pioneer Home in Sitka, Alaska. Mr. Lott was born in Akiak, Alaska, on April 24, 1928. He is survived by his sons Gary and Rusty Lott Flory; daughter Colleen Lott Flory; and sister Pollyanna Didrickson.
 
Vera Tschoeph, 81

Vera Tschoeph died Nov. 24, 1999, at Country Living Assisted Home in Sterling, Alaska. Ms. Tschoeph was born in Kenai, Alaska, on Feb. 2, 1918. She is survived by her sister Maggie Dolchok and many nieces and nephews.
