Wendy

Wendy your beauty was endless . . .
With a tender-heart full of kindness,
And a smile as radiant as the sun,
Since the day your life begun.
Your time has come for you to go,
And those you have left behind here below,
Will miss you dearly as you lay to sleep.
God's called your name for His Angels to keep.
We have memories of our yesterdays to share,
And grieving thoughts of never seeing you to bare.
We admired your beauty, your ability to forgive,
Promise to carry on your loving nature, to relive,
And keep your passions in life alive, along with a
      song and dance.
In spite of losing you, trying to hold our emotions
      in balance.
Until the day we will meet again beyond the stars,
It will be then that we'll understand our scars.
Good-bye my daughter, my sister, my Auntie Ma,
my love, and my best friend.
Now you're in God's hands, where there is no end.
We will always remember you and cherish
      your love,
And look for you in heaven with God above.

By Sandra DeLanney and dedicated to the passing of Wernette Wheeler.
