Graduate Ashly Ashly Townsend, daughter of CIRI shareholder Debra Townsend and husband Terry, graduated May 17 from Glennallen High School. Ashly is enrolled for the fall semester at the University of Alaska Anchorage where she will pursue a degree in dental hygiene with a minor in business. Ashly is looking forward to a busy summer working and spending time with her family and friends. Oskolkoff Graduates from IAIA ![]() CIRI descendant Ann-Marie Oskolkoff graduated with honors from the Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA), located in Sante Fe, N.M., on May 12. She earned an associate of arts degree in creative writing, by completing her spring semester with a 4.0 grade average and an overall two-year grade average of 3.9. Ann-Marie, who will continue studies at Western | Washington University, has writings published in two anthologies, accepted for publication in Tribal College Journal, and to appear in The Iowa Review, Vol. 31, Num. 1, in April 2001. Ann-Marie also had the honor to represent IAIA before Congress two times in 1999 and 2000. IAIA is a unique institute that is federally chartered by Congress in partial fulfillment of treaty and trust obligations to serve as a multi-tribal Native center of higher education for Native Americans. Ann-Marie, who is a distinguished member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, is the daughter of CIRI shareholder and Archpriest Simeon and Lubova Oskolkoff of Anchorage. Welcome Baby Tyroan Tyroan James Rediske was born on April 1, 2000 to CIRI shareholder Daniel Moore Rediske and Sallie Rediske in Homer, Alaska. Tyroan weighed six pounds, 12 ounces and was 21 and a half inches long. His grandparents are Ami and Charles Rediske of Nikiski, Alaska, and Josephine Walker of Columbia, South Carolina. |
