The Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge and Seward Windsong Lodge opened the 2001 summer season with major expansion and remodeling projects completed. With room bookings near capacity last summer, and popularity with local residents, both lodges grew to meet increased demand.
Open year round, the Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge has been so popular, guestrooms were doubled to total 201, which includes three suites. The new guestrooms will each offer two queen-size beds and suites will have king-size beds. Existing rooms offer a variety of kings, queens, and doubles. A remodeled and expanded kitchen enhances efficiency in the two dining facilities. The property also includes a 100-person banquet room and full-service Base Camp Lounge, outdoor hot tub, gift shop, and nature trail system. |

| Located just a quarter mile from downtown Talkeetna, the lodge is built from post-and-beam construction using local materials. The lodge features an impressive 52-foot ceiling and 45-foot-tall river rock fireplace. Situated on 50 acres along a wooded ridge overlooking the Talkeetna Valley and the confluence of three rivers, the lodge is the only major Denali-area property where guests can view the mountain from their rooms - comparable properties offer mountain views only from public rooms. | |

Open during the summer season, the Seward Windsong Lodge is located on the edge of Kenai Fjords National Park and two miles north of the Seward small boat harbor. The Seward Windsong Lodge added 36 new rooms for a total of 108 guestrooms. Guestrooms offer two queen beds for up to four persons. Suites, which include a two-person in-room Jacuzzi tub, eating area and efficiency kitchen, accommodate up to six guests.
The lodge features a new main building with a floor-to-ceiling river rock fireplace, nestled in a forested setting with expansive views of the Resurrection River Valley. Massive peeled spruce logs, harvested locally after invasive beetles killed hundreds of trees, provide the beam supports in the two-story-high main entry area. A second conference room now adjoins the new lobby. Popular with local residents of Seward, the lodge offers Alaskan specialties in its Resurrection Roadhouse. The casual-style restaurant boasts Kenai Peninsula's broadest selection of handcrafted Alaskan ales on tap. |
