The 28th Annual Meeting of CIRI shareholders was held on Saturday, June 2, 2001, in Puyallup, Wash., at Chief Leschi School, with more than 500 people in attendance.

Annual meeting attendees had the opportunity to hear the previous yearıs business operations report, propose resolutions, as well as win door prizes and browse the informational booths on display.

CIRI board incumbents Charles G. Anderson, Michael R. Boling, Gosta Dagg, Ronald G. Perry, and Dr. Terry L. Simpson were re-elected to the CIRI board of directors by shareholders at the corporationıs annual meeting. The five directors will serve three-year terms ending in 2004.

The board of directors also re-elected the following officers at its June 2, 2001 meeting: Dr. Simpson, chairman; Charles G. Anderson, vice-chairman; B. Agnes Brown, secretary; Clare Swan, assistant secretary; Michael R. Boling, treasurer; and Ronald G. Perry, assistant treasurer. Other directors who continue to serve remaining three-year terms are John N. Colberg, William C. Prosser, William D. English, A. Debbie Fullenwider, Sharon L. Isaak, Robert W. Rude, and Harold F. Rudolph.

In addition, the CIRI board selected Patrick M. Marrs to fill a vacant board seat. Marrs, who served on the CIRI board from 1977 to 2000, will fill the seat through its term expiring in 2002. The CIRI board is made up of 15 members who are all Alaska Native and voting shareholders of the corporation.
