Accounting Supervisor
This position is responsible for assisting the controller in the development and management of the accounting functions for Alaska Heritage Tours, Inc., including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and related burden and benefits, fixed assets and depreciation. The position requires an undergraduate degree in accounting and three years of accounting experience, or any combination of education and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.
 
Tourism Accountant - Payables
This position is responsible for processing the accounts payable, commission settlements, as well as employee expense reports for Alaska Heritage Tours, Inc. The position requires two years college education in accounting or business and/or three years of progressively responsible accounts payable experience, or any combination of education and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.
 
Payroll Accountant
This position is responsible for the accounting and reporting of payroll and employee benefits for Alaska Heritage Tours, Inc. The position requires two years college education in accounting and two years payroll accounting experience and/or three years of payroll experience, or any combination of education and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.
 
Director, Package Tours

This position oversees the development and management of Alaska Heritage Tours' package tour business. This position is responsible for the development of multi-day Alaska tour products, coordination of collateral development, and working closely with the director of sales and marketing to develop an overall operating strategy. The minimum qualifications are a bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, finance, or organizational management and seven years experience in package tour or transportation management, or a combination of management, education and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.

CITC YOG Director
Cook Inlet Tribal Council (CITC) is recruiting for a Director, Youth Opportunity Grant Project. The successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation, administration, and management of the multi-year Youth Opportunity Grant that CITC/ANCET has from the U.S. Department of Labor. The Director will directly supervise a minimum of six staff and be responsible indirectly for the supervision of more than 60 additional staff, the majority of which will be located in villages outside the Cook Inlet Region. The Director will
further be responsible for reporting progress to the U.S. Department of Labor and coordinating consistently with the Alaska Native Coalition on Education and Training (ANCET). The Director will ensure appropriate collaboration with all partners in the project as well as other agencies and organizations throughout Alaska that will be involved in providing services and assistance to the youth who are enrolled in the Project. Education/Experience: bachelor's degree required. Master's degree in education or social science is preferred. Work experience can be substituted for educational preference. Minimum of five years of documented experience managing and supervising multiple staff located in villages outside the Cook Inlet Region. Requires extensive travel in Alaska and areas outside Alaska. Responsibilities require knowledge of Alaska Native and American Indian culture. Excellent benefits package. Salary: DOE. Preference given to Alaska Native/American Indian PL 93-638, as amended. PEAK Offers Summer Hire Program
Are you a continuing college student who is looking for summer employment? Do you have a sense of adventure and like to work outdoors? The deadline for applying to the Peak Oilfield Service Co. summer hire program is April 1. Students who have completed at least one year of college and are planning to return to college are eligible for this program.
 
The summer season is divided into two six-week work sessions: early June through mid-July and mid-July through late August. Both summer hire sessions work on Alaska's North Slope and average 12 hours a day. Responsibilities include picking up garbage, putting reflectors in the road, filling sandbags and performing other duties as required. Students are housed at base camp in a dormitory setting and airfare to and from the North Slope and meals are provided.

ANHC Seeks Summer Employees
The Alaska Native Heritage Center is currently recruiting for summer season employees. Full- and part-time positions are available for guest services hosts, ticket agents, village site hosts, maintenance, and grounds keeping. Employment begins at the beginning of May and continues through September. Applicants must enjoy providing the best customer service to guests and have Alaska Native cultural knowledge. Interns receive a broad orientation to Lucent, the specific business unit and the individual work group to which they will be contributing. Developmental opportunities may include meetings with corporate executives, various educational workshops, business unit information exchanges, networking events, and facility tours. Interns receive project-focused assignments and challenging objectives consistent with their career goals. Interns also are assigned a mentor in addition to their supervisor/coach.
 
Applicants must have completed two years of college-level courses working towards a degree in the sciences. Desired majors include, but are not limited to, electrical engineering, electrical engineering technology, computer engineering, computer science, computer information systems, telecommunications, or mathematics. Interns receive project-focused assignments, which last 10 weeks and longer in the wireless communications field. The project objectives are challenging and consistent with the intern's career goals and current level of education.
