CONDOLENCES
The CIRI Board of Directors and staff extend sincere condolences to the family and friends of the following shareholders who have passed away:
 
Pearl H. Blank, 71
Pearl H. Blank of Waxahachie, Texas died Jan. 29, 1999. Ms. Blank was born Nov. 4, 1927 in Seldovia, Alaska. She is survived by sons Ernie, Leonard, Robert and Mark Wolfchief, eleven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren, plus many nieces and nephews.
 
Eden M. Campbell, 42
Eden M. Campbell of Modesto, Cal. died March 24, 1999. Ms. Campbell was born July 17, 1957 in Petersburg, Virginia. She is survived by her parents Charles and Muriel Croley, sisters Charlene and Patricia Campbell, son Enrique Velasco, daughters Mandy Fitzer and Lucia Velasco-Campbell and grandchildren Marquis and Marina Eden.
 
Lucy A. Jager, 67
Lucy A. Jager of Sumner, Wash. died Nov. 30, 1998 at her residence. Ms. Jager was born Nov. 27, 1931 in Old Harbor, Alaska. She is survived by sons Andrew and Joseph Jager; daughters Nora Velez, Audrey Jager, Carol Nelson and Candace Daniels; seventeen grandchildren and one great grandchild.
 
Vincent S. Okpealuk, 53
Vincent S. Okpealuk of Wales, Alaska died Feb. 28, 1999 at his residence. Mr. Okpealuk was born May 13, 1945 in Little Diomede, Alaska. He is survived by wife Marie Okpealuk; sons
Jacob Soolook, Kyle, Lane and Kellen Okpealuk and daughters Madeleine, Alexandria and Florence Okpealuk.
 
Dale S. Snyder, 28
Dale S. Snyder of Sarcoxie, Missouri died Feb. 23, 1999 at his residence. Mr. Snyder was born July 6, 1970 in Seattle, Wash. He is survived by his mother Connie A. Snyder and brother Daryle S. Snyder.

Go Team!!!
Coach Dan Leman, husband of CIRI shareholder Jamie Leman, once again took the Ninilchik Lady Wolverines to the top in basketball! They were undefeated the entire season and won the Region II, 2A District tournament championship for the 7th straight year. They moved on to the State 2A tourney in Anchorage at Service High School where they defeated Point Hope and then Tri-Valley to advance to the championship game, where they lost to Klawock by only 4 points in a hard fought battle. Theresa Chihuly and Dan and Jamie's daughter, Tasha (a junior), were named to the All Tourney team.
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A Shareholder Wedding

CIRI Shareholder Dolly C. Burdeshaw and Roberto R. Rivera were married November 7, 1998 in Juneau, Alaska. Dolly is the daughter of CIRI shareholder Carmen Grace Blair and is the mother of five children. Dolly and Roberto plan to honeymoon in January 2000 in Mexico.
