Go Ninilchik Lady Wolverines!
CIRI shareholder Jamie Leman's husband, Dan, has once again taken his team to the top of 2A basketball. The 2A Ninilchik Wolverines were undefeated this season except for two games against 4A Kenai Varsity. They took the District III, Region II, 2A Tournament Championship which was hosted by Ninilchik at Homer High School. They went on to the 2A State Tournament where they defeated Kake, Minto, and Seldovia to take the state title for the third time in the past five years. Leman's daughters, freshman Whitney Leman and senior Tasha Leman, were both selected for the Sportswriter's All State First Team.
