Southcentral Foundation's Emergency Trauma Technician Team from the summer RAISE intern program joined both the Anchorage Friendship Potlatch and the Kenai Peninsula Potlatch to provide blood pressure pulse, and respitory screening.
"This is a great opportunity to remind our people about the importance of regular blood pressure screening," said Melissa Rodriguez, emergency trauma technician. "I was glad to be able to help and promote health care," said Paul Kameroff, emergency trauma technician. Working at the CIRI events gave the emergency trauma technicians an opportunity to showcase their training and acquire needed training hours. The Emergency Trauma Technician Team collectively donated a total of 40 hours to the Anchorage Friendship Potlatch and 28 hours to the Peninsula Potlatch. Emergency personnel volunteering their time included Sean Brean, Melissa Rodriguez, Leighann Ivie, Paul Kameroff III, Fari Sylvester, Melody Daniell, Warren Jones, and Evelyne Tunley-Daymude. |
