Baby Christopher

Christopher Lee Bowen was born July 27, 2001, at 7:55 a.m. at Doctor's Hospital in Columbus, Ga. He weighed six pounds, 14 ounces and was 20 inches long. Christopher is the second grandson of CIRI shareholder Doris Holt of Columbus, Ga., and son of Bobby and Christy Bowen.

Baby Hannah

Hannah Jade Juliussen Gibbs was born Aug. 25, 2001, at Alaska Regional Hospital in Anchorage, Alaska. She weighed eight pounds, 12.5 ounces and was 20 3/4 inches long. Hannah is the second daughter of CIRI shareholder Charlene Juliussen-Gibbs and husband Charles Gibbs of Anchorage, Alaska. She joins six-year-old sister Stacey and is the granddaughter of CIRI shareholders Gloria Wik and the late Gabriel Juliussen Sr.

Kerrie Matthews Opens New Business

At a ribbon cutting ceremony in October, CIRI shareholder Kerrie Matthews opened the doors to her insurance office in Idaho Falls, Idaho. An Allstate exclusive agent, Matthews works hard on her long-term goals and for her family and clients. Congratulations Kerrie!

Baby Justin

Justin Thomas Maxwell was born May 31, 2001, at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska. He weighed seven pounds, 10 ounces and was 20 3/4 inches long. Justin is the only child of CIRI shareholder Ricky Maxwell and Bering Straits shareholder Brenda Tiulana. CIRI shareholder Grace Hilbert and Bering Straits shareholder Lillian Tiulana are Justin's proud grandmothers.

Baby Caleb

Caleb James Ritchey was born March 11, 2001, at the Alaska Native Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska. He weighed seven pounds, nine ounces and was 19 3/4 inches long. Caleb is the grandson of CIRI shareholder Jacinta L. Ritchey, and son of BenJamin Brown and CIRI descendant Annastasia Ritchey. Baby Caleb is doing well in his new home in southern California.

Chris Vance Becomes Eagle Scout

CIRI shareholder Chris Vance has had a busy year. In addition to participating in the 2001 Special Olympics World Winter Games in Anchorage in snowboarding and serving on the board of directors, he has also served as a Special Olympics Global Messenger. Vance is also an ambassador for Alaska through scouting. He was recently honored in an Eagle Scout Court of Honor ceremony.

Randy Wanamaker Elected

CIRI shareholder Randy Wanamaker was recently elected to a three-year term for the city and borough of Juneau Assembly. Wanamaker is the first Native elected to the Juneau Assembly in 20 years. He is an environmental assessor for Gateway Technologies in Juneau.
