Shareholder Communications Specialist
This position serves as a liaison between CIRI, and its various departments and non-profit organizations, and CIRI shareholders. The shareholder communications specialist is also responsible for working with CIRI's shareholder participation committees and coordinating regular meetings, as well as organizing special shareholder events. This person will respond to shareholder correspondence in a timely manner, produce current mailing lists, and assist with shareholder mailings. This position is also responsible for supervising the shareholder records coordinator. The required minimum experience for this position is an undergraduate degree in business administration, public relations or similar field of study, and five years experience, or any combination of training and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.
Director of Sales, CIRI Alaska Tourism
This position oversees recruiting, training, supervising and managing the CIRI Alaska Tourism sales staff; devises sales strategy; sets areas of salesperson responsibility; and develops a customer base for tourism products. As a member of the CIRI Alaska Tourism executive management team, this position provides management support to the executive director of tour sales and marketing and the president of CIRI Alaska Tourism in various corporate and business development programs. This person will also participate in public relations and community activities on behalf of CIRI Alaska Tourism. The minimum requirements and experience for this position are a bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, advertising, or public
relations; five years experience in sales management, tourism marketing, advertising, or public relations; or any combination of education, management and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities. Experience in the Alaska tourism industry is highly desirable. Instate and out-of-state travel required.
 
Marketing Coordinator, CIRI Alaska Tourism
This position is responsible for researching print, radio, television, and Internet advertising options for CIRI Alaska Tourism Corp.; works with the director of marketing on the selection of advertising space; maintains memberships and listings for all tourism properties; orders and maintains an inventory of all tourism collateral including brochures, postcards, rack cards, stationary, specialty items, posters, flyers, signs, and any other designated promotional items; and is responsible for the maintenance of media buying database system. As a member of the CIRI Alaska Tourism marketing department, participates in marketing meetings and contributes ideas to the marketing strategy. Minimum experience for this position is a bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, advertising, or public relations and a minimum of two years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities. Experience in the Alaska tourism industry desirable.
 
Tourism Marketing Intern/Assistant, CIRI Alaska Tourism
This position provides general clerical and marketing support for CIRI Alaska Tourism. This person will assist with maintaining various marketing files in existing libraries and must pay close attention to details; act as front line receptionist for the tourism department; assist the tourism department with general clerical support as needed; and assist both sales and marketing staff with database maintenance, inventory control, and coordination of special projects. The minimum requirements include a high school degree or
GED, previous experience in the clerical field preferred, and a strong interest in learning the marketing/advertising business from the "inside." Experience using general office equipment, including standard computer software (Word, Excel, Access) and graphics is desired. A current driver's license and reliable transportation is needed.
 
Administrative Assistant for Southcentral Foundation's Seattle Office
Southcentral Foundation is seeking an administrative assistant familiar with Alaska Native issues to work in its information and referral office in Seattle, Wash. Qualifications for this position include a high school diploma or GED; knowledge of administrative skills; demonstrated ability to use advanced word processing, spreadsheet and database software; demonstrated exceptional customer service skills; and demonstrated ability to provide administrative support in a timely and efficient manner with few errors.
