Federal career

Barbara Williams, an original CIRI enrollee, graduated from Northern Arizona University in December 2009 with a Master of Arts in English with Emphasis in Literacy, Technology and Professional Writing. Williams recently moved back to Alaska after a 12-year absence and is working for the Bureau of Indian Affairs as a budget analyst. “I have been a federal employee most of my working career. I started my federal career when I joined the Marine Corps at age 18, which was during the Vietnam era. I love English and enrolled in the English LTPW Program at NAU to improve my writing, cognitive and communication skills in my personal life and that of my profession.”
