UPDATE: CIRI Information Meetings

My fellow CIRI shareholders:

Due to COVID-19 concerns, CIRI has made the difficult decision to cancel our shareholder Information Meetings, to be held this spring in Anchorage, Kenai and Puyallup, Wash.

Cancelling these meetings is not a decision CIRI takes lightly; as the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, the company has been actively assessing the risk and potential impact on our shareholders, staff and community. In the end, the health and safety of all must come first.

Because the information we share at these meetings is so important, our team is in the process of evaluating alternative delivery methods. Please stay tuned after the release of our 2019 Annual Report in mid-April for additional information and opportunities to engage with the corporation’s leadership.

In addition to canceling our Information Meetings, CIRI is minimizing access to CIRI offices at the Fireweed Business Center, including in-person interactions with our business associates and shareholders. This is a precautionary measure we are taking to limit potential exposure to CIRI employees, our partners and our shareholders. We strongly believe this is the right decision given the current circumstances.

Our Shareholder Relations department will continue to serve as the point of contact for shareholders. CIRI’s shareholder portal, Qenek, is a free online resource available 24/7 that provides shareholders easy access to a wealth of information and allows them to make certain record changes online. Shareholders may also contact Shareholder Relations 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday by calling (907) 263-5191 / (800) 764-2474 or emailing shareholderrecords@ciri.com.

I want to express my thanks to you, our shareholders, during these difficult times. This is a challenging situation for Alaska, our nation and the world. I believe we will work through it by coming together as a unified team, and I thank you for being an important part of that effort.

Plans are underway for CIRI’s Annual Meeting of Shareholders, scheduled for June 6 in Anchorage. We will continue to follow the guidance of public health officials and, if changes to those plans become necessary to protect the health of our shareholders and staff, we will notify you promptly.

Warm regards,
Sophie Minich
