Carol A. Gore

Carol A. Gore is an original CIRI enrollee, a shareholder of Ninilchik Native Association and an enrolled tribal member of Ninilchik Traditional Council. She served as president and CEO of Cook Inlet Housing Authority (CIHA), a CIRI tribally designated organization, from 2000 until her retirement in 2023. Her extensive list of board service includes the Alaska Community Foundation, Anchorage Homeless Leadership Council, Cold Climate Housing Research Center, Federal Reserve Bank of Seattle, National American Indian Housing Council, Tuyan LLC, Bean’s Cafe, AEDC and Providence Alaska Medical Center. In addition to the many awards CIHA received under her leadership, Gore is a YWCA Woman of Achievement awardee (2004), an Anchorage ATHENA Society inductee (2009) and an Anchorage Chamber of Commerce Gold Pan Award recipient (2018). In 2021, she was recognized with a lifetime achievement award by the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials. Gore holds an Achieving Excellence Certificate from Harvard University. Gore has served on the CIRI Board since 2023.
