Robert E. Harris served as the Chief Fiscal Officer for the Municipality of Anchorage, overseeing the departments of Finance, Treasury, Purchasing, Controller’s Office, Payroll, Information Technology, and the Municipal Assessor’s Office. Previously, he managed an engineering group at CH2M, and before that was president and CEO of Controls Engineering Inc. Harris was a regional coordinator/educational counselor for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Educational Council and previously served on the boards of the Anchorage Community Development Authority, Anchorage Youth Symphony Association, Child Family Health International and the International Association for Cold Region Development Studies. Harris a trustee of the CIRI Settlement Trust and is the president of the Alaska Fire Service Museum Association.  He has served on the CIRI board since 2011.
