David Broome
As CIRI’s vice president, government relations and communications, David Broome leads strategy and advocacy of all legislative matters as well as external communications for the Company. Prior to joining CIRI, he served as the executive vice president of government relations at the Professional Services Council and led government relations functions for Israel Aerospace Industries and Orbital ATK. He was also a senior director at the Northrup Grumman Corporation.
Prior to Mr. Broome’s time the private sector, he served in the executive branch in multiple appointments, including as special assistant to the president of the Office of Legislative Affairs and as the deputy assistant secretary of defense for the Office of Senate Affairs. Additionally, he served in the Office of Government and Industry Affairs at the Federal Aviation Administration. In the legislative branch, Mr. Broome worked for U.S. Sen. Bill Frist for seven years.
Mr. Broome also served on both active duty and in the reserve component of the United States Marine Corps, retiring after 32 years of service. He is a veteran of the Iraq War and an avid private pilot.
