CIRI descendant Myra Ann Boyaver married Joseph Kupres on May 2, 2009, at St. Anthony Roman Catholic Church in Forest Grove, Ore. The reception was held at the beach on the Oregon coast and was attended by family and friends from all over the country. The couple met in 2008 while on a business trip to China. Myra and Joe have three children: Christopher, Brittanee and Nicholas. Myra is the daughter of JoAnn Boyer, who is of Aleut descent and grew up on Kodiak Island, and the granddaughter of Susanna von Scheele and Harry Howe.
