Congratulations to CIRI Shareholder Amber Christensen Fullmer (Inupiaq), who recently became director of operations for the Alaska Native Justice Center (ANJC). Amber first worked as a youth counselor at McLaughlin Youth Center in Anchorage, and then as a juvenile probation officer for high-risk youth. Later, she moved to Colorado and worked as an adult probation officer. Back in Alaska, she left a position as the director of Native Student Services at the University of Alaska Anchorage to join ANJC. Amber is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Indigenous studies with a focus on public health and social justice.
