As CIRI’s chief operating officer, Chad Nugent oversees the company’s diverse business operations and ensures execution of its comprehensive goals for performance and growth.
With a strong background in business, finance and real-estate development, Nugent joined CIRI in 2013 to manage the development of the Fireweed Business Center, CIRI’s visionary headquarters located in midtown Anchorage. In 2015, he became vice president of Real Estate, guiding CIRI’s commercial and development property investments in and outside Alaska, and was named chief operating officer in 2018.
A lifelong Alaskan, Nugent comes from a construction and development family. He learned the business at a young age, honing his problem-solving and relationship-building skills. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from Montana State University before returning to Alaska to own a successful commercial civil construction company for a decade.
Nugent is a long-time supporter of The Children’s Place, a Mat-Su organization for families impacted by child abuse and neglect. He previously served as an advisory board member of the Weidner Property Management and Real Estate Program and is a past mentor in the Leadership Fellows Program, both at the University of Alaska Anchorage.
