Ada is the Dena’ina word for “care, love or kindness.” CIRI’s Ada Honor Program offers burial assistance to the families of deceased CIRI Shareholders.
Families are eligible for $2,500, with an additional $500 to be given if the deceased Shareholder has a valid Stock Will on file with CIRI. The program is available to the families of all deceased Shareholders—including original enrollees, Shareholders who were gifted or bequeathed shares, and non-voting Shareholders—so long as the deceased passed away on or after Jan. 1, 2025, and was an active CIRI Shareholder at the time of his/her passing.
Applications for Shareholders whose passing occurred between Jan. 1 and July 14, 2025, must be received by Jan. 12, 2026. For losses occurring July 15, 2025, or later, a completed application and supporting documentation must be submitted to CIRI within 180 days.
