Theme: “Building the Future, Guided by Tradition”
Shareholder and confirmed Descendant photographers ages 10 to adult are invited to submit original photographs interpreting the theme “Building the Future, Guided by Tradition.” Photographs must be 1MB or larger and ideally landscape orientation. Winning photographers will receive cash prizes up to $500 and have their entries displayed at CIRI’s fall Friendship Potlatches. Certain photographs may also be selected for the CIRI calendar.

Photographs may depict the people, places, and cultural traditions/practices of our CIRI Family. Submissions will be judged on various factors, including composition, perspective and creativity.
Photos may only be submitted electronically; hard copy submissions will not be accepted. Photos must be at least 1MB and no larger than 20MB.
Entrants under the age of 18 must submit a Parent/Legal Guardian Acknowledgement and Agreement.
The contest deadline is 11:59 p.m. AKDT on Sunday, Aug. 16, 2026.
