Carol A. Gore is an original CIRI enrollee, a shareholder of Ninilchik Native Association and an enrolled Tribal member of the Ninilchik Traditional Council. She served as president and CEO of Cook Inlet Housing Authority (CIHA), a CIRI designated Tribal organization, from 2000 until her retirement in 2023. Her extensive board service includes the Alaska Community Foundation, Anchorage Economic Development Corporation, Anchorage Homeless Leadership Council, Bean’s Café, Cold Climate Housing Research Center, Federal Reserve Bank of Seattle, National American Indian Housing Council, Providence Alaska Medical Center and Tuyan LLC.
Ms. Gore is the recipient of numerous honors, including the YWCA Woman of Achievement Award (2004), Anchorage ATHENA Society induction (2009), Anchorage Chamber of Commerce Gold Pan Award (2018) and a Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (2021). She holds an Achieving Excellence Certificate from Harvard University. Ms. Gore serves as a Trustee of the CIRI Settlement Trust and has served on the CIRI Board of Directors since 2023.
