Gregory L. Craig is a 30‑year U.S. energy industry veteran and entrepreneur. He conceived, launched and led wholesale energy trader Cook Inlet Energy, growing the company to more than $3 billion in U.S. revenue before its sale to Macquarie Bank. He later led a successful business turnaround as chairman and CEO of Commerce Energy and previously served as CEO of BHRC Medspa. He was also co‑founder, CEO and a board member of Griddy Energy, a technology‑driven energy retailer.
Mr. Craig currently serves as CEO of Star Energy Partners, an East Coast residential electric provider, and as an independent director on the Polypipe USA board. He has advised multiple U.S. secretaries of energy and was a presidential appointee and three‑year adviser to President Bill Clinton. Mr. Craig has served for more than a decade as chairman of the board of the Price Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at UCLA Anderson, where he is entrepreneur‑in‑residence, and is a member of the executive committee of the Junior Achievement board. He has served on the CIRI Board of Directors since 2022.
